This is one of the homes for Thailand's national sport, Muay Thai. Three nights a week in this old school arena, boxers impressively kick the shit out of each other. These guys are light (45kgs - 60kgs) and move fast. Before each fight both fighters perform the wai kru, a dance to pay respect to their mentor. Fights consist of five three minute rounds. The most important feature for any spectator is the betting, odds change, hands gesture frantically and tempers occasionally rise. Prices for farangs are five times the price compared to a thai, where cleverly prices are displayed using the numeric thai symbols (230 Baht).
